In light of conflicting decisions at the district court level, the DC Circuit Court of Appeals has temporarily blocked the NLRB's rule requiring the posting of employee rights, which had been originally scheduled to take effect on April 30, 2012.
In view of the DC Circuit's order, and in light of the strong interest in the uniform implementation and administration of agency rules, regional offices will not implement the rule pending the resolution of the issues before the court.
If you have received the NLRA poster, you are not required to post the "right to organize" message on your bulletin boards or anywhere else, until the legal issues have been resolved.

The Social Security Administration has announced that the taxable wage base for the Social Security portion of FICA will increase to $110,100 in 2012. That’s a 3.1% hike over the 2011 wage base of $106,800.

The Internal Revenue Service today announced cost of living adjustments affecting dollar limitations for pension plans and other retirement-related items for Tax Year 2012. In general, many of the pension plan limitations will change for 2012 because the increase in the cost-of-living index met the statutory thresholds that trigger their adjustment. However, other limitations will remain unchanged.
